VIC:Two cars impounded in Vic

MELBOURNE, April 16 AAP - Two men who nearly collided while racing have had their cars impounded.

The drivers sped side-by-side for several kilometres along a stretch of road in the
Victorian town of Horsham on Friday evening, reaching up to 160km/h in a 100km/h zone.

Police officers who saw the vehicles parked by the side of the road before driving
off reported that the cars almost collided.

Police intercepted the racers about 6pm and confiscated the cars.

The men, aged in their 20s, will be charged on summons with traffic offences.
